    Providence Skills Center

    The Providence Skills Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lifestyles of individuals from a variety of backgrounds. The skills center is one-stop development site. Our personalized GED program, pharmacy technician training, and NRF customer service program promises participants a successful transition into the working world.

  • The GED classes run from Monday - Thursday, with a morning session from 9am-12pm and an afternoon session from 1pm-4pm.

  • The Pharmacy Technician training is a 12 week program, running from 6pm-9pm, Monday-Thursday. Upon completion, students are guaranteed employment.

  • The Customer Service traning is a 4 week day program run by the National Retail Federation, taught Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm.

    Providence Place supports Habitat for Humanity of Rhode Island - Greater Providence, Inc.

    Providence Place has partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Rhode Island - Greater Providence, Inc. to work on elimination of poverty housing in our community.

    This is a part of national partnership between General Growth Properties, (Providence Place's owner/management company) and Habitat for Humanity International.

    Over the next three years, shoppers will be invited to participate in fundraising events, awareness campaigns and volunteer opportunities to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Rhode Island - Greater Providence.

    Kiddie Kruzzer Stroller Rental

    For your convenience Providence Place has installed single passenger Kiddie Kruzzer stroller units for rental throughout the mall.

    When entering the mall visit one of the (3) Kiddie Kruzzer rental stations to rent a single passenger stroller unit. Stations are located:

  • In the North Francis street entrance next to Border’s Books
  • Level 2 Citiside behind Auntie Anne’s Pretzels
  • Level 1 Stateside behind the T-Mobile kiosk

    The rental fee is $4.00 for an unlimited rental period. The fee is accepted at the rental stations and can be paid with $1 & $5 bills only (NO CHANGE ALLOWED). You are required to put $5 upfront and will receive $1 back upon the return of the stroller to the rental station.

    THE KIDDIE KRUZZER STROLLER UNITS ARE NOT RATED FOR INFANTS.
